ABOUT ME

My story

I was born in Galicia, Spain. I grew up there and began my education at the popularly known "University of Life". And although it is true that this is where I began my journey, I always knew that what would define who I am is not so much the place where I am, but what I do with my life while I am there.

During the first years of my life, I think I suffered a lot, I guess in some way I hit rock bottom.

At the time I couldn't see the positive side of what was happening to me, but today, looking back, I can be grateful for having experienced that. Because that's when I discovered my true passion, what I call my profession today: psychology.

When I " hit rock bottom ", I went to the psychologist for the first time, and when I was only seven years old, when I left the office, I remember telling my parents "when I grow up, I also want to work helping others".

And to this day, the dream of having fulfilled my dream of becoming a psychologist still echoes in my head with the same excitement.

But, as I always say, being something today doesn't mean you'll always be something. The title of father, mother, son, brother, friend is something that is worked on every day. That's why, even though I received the title of psychologist a few years ago, today I continue trying to be a little more each day.

When you come to my office, you bring the most beautiful and sincere thing you have inside you: your suffering . And I have the responsibility of helping you understand it and know what to do with it .

I can only do this through: responsibility , by training myself more and more in my profession; empathy , by treating each one of you in the same way that I would like to be treated with my loved ones or with myself; and with wisdom , which I obtain through my personal experiences and of course, with wonderful people like you, who teach me every day and remind me how beautiful my profession is.

My training

I studied psychology at the University of Santiago de Compostela, and after graduating, I experienced my first migration process by moving to Madrid to pursue a two-year master's degree in General Health Psychology.
Once I completed my six years of mandatory training, which was primarily based on cognitive-behavioral therapy, I specialized in couples therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). To this day, I continue to independently study emotion-focused therapy and attachment theory, which, for me, form the foundation of who we are as people.

My Experience

I have experience and training in individual, couples and group therapy, specifically in psychiatric and personality disorders, migration processes, anxiety, depression, grief, obsessive-compulsive disorders, post-traumatic stress, identity problems, self-esteem and adaptation to life changes. Currently, in Copenhagen, I am part of the community of practice of Psychologists at Sandau & Nymand, where I receive psychological supervision.
